Limo logistics

brieliz, on June 13, 2016 at 11:08 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

Im not sure what I need to book...I only need a limo to drop groom & groomsman off at church (total 6) and me and bridesmaids off (total 6) separately. Then all 12 to venue after event in one. Should I get a quote for 2 vehicles or 1? It's only about 2.5-3 hour time frame. Do limo places drop off groomsman/groom first then get bride/bridesmaid in same car? I'm not sure what makes most logistical sense so if anyone has advice it'd be appreciated Smiley smile

My wedding was in peak wedding/prom season so my limo company had a minimum 4 hour booking. Here was my timeline for 4 hours.

    2:00- Arrive at Location A

    2:15- Pick groom/groomsmen up at Location A

2:30- Drop groom/GM off at Church

3:15- Pick bride/ BM up at Location B

3:45- Drop Bride/BM off at Church

    4:00- Ceremony/Pictures (Wait at Church)

5:30- Take Bridal Party to Reception

5:45- Drop off Bridal party at Reception

    6:00- Leave

Our transportation is dropping the groom/groomsmen off at the church first, and then swinging back to get bride/bridesmaids. We'll all then travel together to reception venue. Generally, the groom has to be there first anyways, and groomsmen help seat the guests, so that always tends to work out well.

If you let the limo company know what you need/want, they can't work it out for you in a number of ways Smiley smile

I don't think you'll need two limos. The groom and GMs will generally travel to the ceremony first and then the limo will come back for you and your BMs.

Thanks everyone! That was helpful =) I'll ask about the minimum hours too, it is off season so there may not be a minimum, but my venue and church and pick up locations are all within 10 min drive of each other so travel time will be minimal. I'm thinking the first pick up would be 1:45 and drop off at venue will be by 4:30 - 5 pm. Thanks so much!
