Limited Seating

I got a wedding invitation in the mail yesterday. I just checked out the couples website, and in the section about the ceremony, it states that the site is small, and a bit uneven, so seating will be limited. It goes on to say that of course there is seating for all at the reception. Is this common?...

And the picture that won me over! Okay, sorry to steal your thread @GeekyBride :-) Standing at an intimate wedding can be okay.

    NelsonsGirl, that is GORGEOUS!!!!

But yeah, in 99% of the scenarios, not having enough chairs even if it's "just" the ceremony is not normal and is not overly polite. How will they mandate who gets to sit? Old people? Children? Women before men? Whoever gets there first? Fight! fight! fight! Jk... Wouldn't that be something...
