So I am about to send out save the dates and was wondering how y’all have dealt with guest list numbers with limited seating. So far I have around 75 adults invited, with 17 of them being out of town family. A little less than half of those 17 are plus ones that I added on for my cousins’ significant others (they have been dating for a while, not just a fling bf/gf). We can only fit 60 people at our reception comfortably (including my fiancé and myself). Should I shave down our guest list a little or do you think the number of people that actually attend will work out? I know it’s unrealistic to think everyone will rsvp as a yes, but my anxiety is saying “what if” and “where will we put these people?!” Helppp.

This is my fear, I’d be an anxious mess. I wrote down my list again and numbered everyone, leaving out plus ones for people that weren’t dating anyone. I am at 60 exact. That makes me feel so much better, since there are a couple out of towners on my list that I don’t think will attend. Sometimes I just need to post on here and let other people think for me 😂😂😂 hired our caterer today & the guest count for food was what sent me into this spiral. Can’t wait to just be married and never have to plan anything like this again. Totally understanding now why some people just elope. Lmao

I would 100% not invite more people than you can fit. What if you have more?? 15 out of 75 is a lot of people to decline. I wouldn’t chance it, you’re going to be worried and stressed the whole time and you could end up really screwed at the end.
