Limited Bar

Fmv, on February 1, 2020 at 12:12 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
So the bar package we chose includes a certain amount of wine and beer, unlimited soda.

Everything else is cash bar. Once our amount of beer and wine are gone, all alcohol will be cash bar.
How do i let people know we are supplying beer and wine untill its gone then its cash?I plan on making a sign but is that the easiest way? I saw this sign on facebook and thought it was a good idea?Limited Bar 1

I don't know if everyone will agree or have the same opinion, I think this is fine just make sure people know this ahead of time so they can bring cash just incase. Maybe put it on wedding website or detail card (or whatever it's called that gives details for the wedding)

Not really looking for everyone to agree. Just looking for the best way to tell our guests.
How would you recommend the wording if we put it on a detail card or on our website?

I think that saying what is available then cash bar for cocktails. I usually bring cash with me to weddings just in case I need it. I guess to me it would make sense that once the options you are offering run out it would turn into an all cash bar. So to me it doesnt need to be stated.

Daughter went to a wedding where beer and wine were initially covered, but alcohol was not, then everything was "cash bar." Her perspective was guests were confused by both (and as a result, kind of irritated because they'd go to the bar and had to pay for something that previously had been covered or pay for alcohol when they thought it was a hosted bar...), so I'd just try to spread the word -- via your website or word of mouth -- as much as possible. Mentioning any of this on the invite is pretty much always not a good idea. I'd just try to make sure people understand what to expect....
