So i have seen some really pretty pictures of my venue with Bistro lighting. It was more of a nice to have for me so I just emailed a few vendors to get some pricing - it came back as between $1900-$2100. Is that normal? It just seemed really high. There is an 800$ cost for the two technicians to hang the lights and attach them to the dimmer and the lights themselves are $600 (the rest is delivery, setup fees). But DAMN was I surprised at that price. I am a little discouraged because I really like the look but its just not in the budget

Yeah...that seems like a lot. Bistro lights are $100 for my venue and the cost to hang is included in the setup cost.

I love the look too. I got quotes for just the patio outside area and they were all around $1,000. It just wasn't worth it to us.

Their install fee may be a bit high, but bistro lights on all my quotes were right around $1000

Not sure about bistro lighting but my DJ is quoting me $200 for 8 up-lights

Okay good to know, it seemed on the high side to me. I might be able to do $1000 but have not heard anything close to that.

I was also shocked at the prices I got from different lighting vendors. I wanted quotes for string lights on the patio, wrapped on the interior ceiling beams, and a little lighting for the band on stage and got quotes ranging from $860 up to $3,000. The first few quotes were in the $2,000 - $3,000 range. It was a big wake up call!

Our DJ offers various lighting options and included some in our package. Sounds super expensive.

Lightning can be really expensive. Have you asked your caterer about lighting at all? Our caterer is supplying our lighting, heaters, and all other rentals. They might be able to save you some money in regard to delivery fees and staffing.
