light olive green table cloth.....what color flowers?

Bee, on April 19, 2013 at 5:21 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 17

My colors are green, ivory and pink. I am trying not to go kelly green and bubblegum pink because I want a more grown up look. I got light olive green table cloths and I was planning on doing green and white flowers like the bouqet, but then I was think it might wash it out- should I do pale pink instead??? HELP?

My girls are wearing bright fuschia, FYI.

The pics are a sample of the tablecoth color and the colors I originally going to go with.

I just asked FH his opinion and he showed me an online color blindess test and said, "I can't see any of those colors, so maybe you should ask someone who can see some of those colors" Ah, on my own I guess.

Pale pink would be pretty and romantic.

How about coral or salmon if you want fun, but sophisticated?

So, I am having a hard time finding olive green tablecloth images with centerpieces, but here are some ideas that MIGHT help you.

    1. Olive, ivory, and a blushy pink bouquet. (really pretty I think)

    2. More of a lime green table runner with matching green and pink flowers.

    3. Olive table runners with ivory flowers.

I recolored one of the images to give a semblance of what the light olive with fuschia could look like.

I love the pink and green option. Those are actually two of my colors Smiley smile so I may be biased

I loove the first one that Lirana found, and your second picture. I think blush pink would be a great choice, and I can't really get on board the fuchsia or salmon ideas because I am just not a fan of those colors (but that doesn't mean they don't look good, just my thing).

With Olive green table cloth you can do pretty much anything. What are your wedding colors? What time of the year?

I definitely like the idea of adding some pink flowers to the mix. You need more than just white and green, in order to add some contrast.

I love, love, love the light pink with the olive green! Seriously, I have been having the hardest time coming up with color combos like this, I might consider stealing it.

I prefer the light pink but fuchsia would look nice if you want a more fun color scheme.

I too would add some pink. Perhaps coral or a lighter/darker shade of the color your bridesmaids are wearing? Maybe like a magenta purple?

I think the picture you posted of the table has light pink roses mixed in with the white. I really like the salmon and olive together that Pan S. posted.

Ladies, thank you so much! I really wanted te green hydrangeas, but I added these gorgeous green sashes to my chairs and I am totally seeing what you all are saying: it is just too much green and ivory and not enough pink. I have a new plan: polo white garden roses and pink hydrangea. I LOVE hydrangea, it is my favorite flower, and I love peonies but they are too damned expensive so the floral designer on fiftyflowers.com helped me come up with a garden rose subsitute to stay in my budget. I can't find an exact match but I think it will really compliment the green. Imagine this on an olive table, like it? And here is the chair sash, they are so beautiful and they do more for the room than I expect. (Please excuse the fact that we tested it on a computer chair)
