Let’s talk bouquet regret 💐

I wish I had a bigger one haha. There’s a photo of me holding ALL the bouquets and I loved the look of it

YES! I absolutely hated my bouquet. It had like three flowers in it and looked nothing like the samples I sent the florist or the pics she sent me. She was also super late delivering the flowers so I only have walking down the aisle photos of me with the bouquet which is fine because I hated it so much haha. I love fresh flowers and always have them in my house so it was a real bummer, although on the day of I was smart enough to only be mildly annoyed and move on quickly.
If I did it over again, I’d insist on an actual mock-up of my bouquet, no matter how much it cost so I could see exactly what I was getting.

My bouquet did not come out like my inspiration photo but was beautiful, I wanted some greenery hanging out from my bouquet and a few small baby's breath, etc. sticking out and thats what was omitted. My ceremony was on a hilltop terrace, I had my two male cousins walk me down to the bottom terrace where my mom was waiting for me, she has RA (rheumatoid arthritis) and could not make the full walk down easily. My sister (MOH) and sister in law (best Woman) were all down on the first terrace where they would walk from. When they all left to go to the bottom terrace I stayed alone with my two male cousins and applied lipstick and off we went. We began to walk down, I was nervous and my cousins kept telling me everything would be ok. Half way down I look up to see all of the familiar faces when I see one face in particular that sent a shock down my body. It was my florist with her phone out taking pictures, she had stayed there for a while after she finished to take pictures. As soon as I saw her I looked down at my hands only to realize I had no bouquet, it was upstairs in the bridal suite. I felt so bad she must have thought that I hated it. She left right after, I called her and explained what had happened and offered her some photos that my photographer took of us with the bouquet

View Quoted Comment Yes! This is the sample photo I sent. I explained I loved the shape, fullness, abundant flowers of various shapes and the colors—save I did mention I thought the darkest green leafs were a touch too dark.




And this was my hideous bouquet. Ugly peach colors. Very few flowers. Totally different shape. Lots of stabby pieces of greenery lol.

Not a huge regret because we had to pivot our wedding last minute so the vendor was amazing with working on less than a week's notice, but I wish I was more specific about the colors and wrapping I chose. I basically just said use sunflowers and make it pretty and it was! But not necessarily what I would have chosen if I could do it over again.


Also it came as a loose bouquet with rubber bands holding the flowers together (again, I did not communicate well lol) and you can see it in some of the pictures. Overall though it was such a little thing and the flowers were gorgeous so I don't really regret it!

During my last marriage My ex step mother did the flowers they looked horrible I was walking down the aisle with dead flowers. good news I am finally getting to marry my fiance will be paying whatever for the flowers

I didn’t love mine. Flowers weren’t a priority to me so I booked my florist at the last minute. I loved my inspo picture and this just didn’t meet my expectations. Plus the flowers they used were like an ivory instead of white so it looked yellow. I don’t remember what I paid for it $175?? But it wasn’t worth what i paid. I should have made it with grocery store flowers

View Quoted Comment I know! I picked it up and I was very confused. But the flowers were pretty and super cheap so at the end of the day it was not a huge deal. We're having the reception this year and I'm paying almost 5x as much for this new bouquet so hoping no rubber bands this time! Or at least covered up 🤣

I loved mine! The only thing I regret is not looking into preservation options early enough.
