One of the things I love most about this form is seeing how unique everyone’s weddings are. (And that probably holds more true with weddings in 2020 than ever before!) One of the most impactful elements of a wedding is the venue. Let’s have fun seeing and appreciating everyone’s unique wedding backdrop by sharing a photo of your venue! Feel free to give a quick summary of the details or overall vision of your big day too!

We will be having a destination wedding in New Orleans. The ceremony will take place outdoors under the stars in the traditional French Quarter courtyard with fountain. The reception will take place indoors, where we will have a private, fully stocked bar, as well as a private walk out courtyard with a smaller fountain and bistro lighting. Originally, we planned (and unfortunately purchased) a ton of themed decor. But, once the pandemic hit and we were forced to reschedule, we decided to just keep it simple. Neither of us really want to worry about traveling with or shipping a ton of decor, or setting it all up. We decided we would much rather just enjoy our time with our loved ones!

    Our venue is White Fox Cottage in Commerce, Georgia! We fell in love with this venue after seeing their open-air chapel area, which is where we plan on having our ceremony. It's fairly new (opened summer 2020), and the owners are amazing people to work with! The venue sits on the owners' property, and from the road, you would never know it existed. Tucked away behind their home is this beautiful cottage with high ceilings, large windows, and to die for details. We will have our reception indoors, and cannot wait to celebrate with all of our loved ones!

    This was the first venue I showed my FH, and he jumped once he saw the open-air chapel. It was the first venue we toured, and we knew it was the one for us! Our wedding style is minimal and simple, which will allow this venue to shine through in all its glory!

    That venue looks beautiful!!! I love the fountain in the courtyard.


    My fiance and I picked a venue with a lot of tall trees and a view of a lake. When we toured the venue, we both felt it was the perfect option for us. Our ceremony will be outdoors among the trees, and our reception will be indoors at the same venue, with an outdoor section that includes a lawn with yard games and a fireplace.

    We are getting married at Fontenelle Forest, a nature preserve in Bellevue, NE. The nature center backs up to a huge forest. They also do raptor recovery, so we get to have 2 raptors at our wedding for an hour!Let’s see your venue! 12

    I love the fountain at you venue!

    Ours was at a friends farm. We kept everything super casual, because we are not formal people whatsoever. We spent three full days before the wedding getting her property ready and we didn't have a clue how it would look, I had a vision for it but my husband admitted afterwards that he didn't think it was going to look nice since he didn't really have an opinion on the decor and we didn't spend much on the wedding. I didn't even see it all pulled together until I walked down the aisle because our wedding party put the final touches on for us the morning of, but it turned out so much better than anyone expected it to.

    Your venues are so awesome!

    We are having our ceremony and reception at the same location; Emerald at Queensridge in Las Vegas. This was the first venue we toured and loved it! For our reception we are doing dark teal overlays on all tables, gold chiavari chairs, candle centerpieces with subtle Tiffany Blue stones in the votive with rose petals around them, and Tiffany Blue napkins. We were initially going for a vintage-y theme with very neutral colors, but, since we've postponed it's really given me more time (too much time!) to reevaluate. We've removed most of the vintage elements and focused more on a 'classic' feel.

    LOVE your venue!!

    Our venue was a restaurant that looked like a rustic cabin, with a ceremony site and beautiful gardens outside. When we were first looking at venues, I wasn't sure what I wanted, except I wanted to get married outside in nature with trees/flowers, and we were trying to stick to a strict budget. When we first saw this place I instantly fell in love and new this was it! Especially it being right in our price range!

    I absolutely love looking at venues! 😍 Everyone’s are so beautiful and different. We found a villa in the south of Spain that we are so excited about. They’ve had lots of elaborate parties there but never a wedding! Actually makes me a bit nervous haha


    The reception will be around the pool area and the ceremony will basically be right where this lady is doing yoga. 😂

    Sunset Terrace at Chelsea Piers, NYC. The view was what grabbed us - it's of Jersey City, where we live, while being in NYC, where DH is from... And that's the Hudson River. We had boats going by all night, waving up at the wedding.

    I love threads like this! It’s so fun to see everyone’s gorgeous venues!
    We got married at a vineyard in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It had a mixture of all the elements we were looking for... the mountains, beautiful foliage, an open air barn, and of course... wine!

    This thread is awesome! Our venue was our first choice and the only one we visited in person - we both fell in love with it at first sight. The chapel is so beautiful in person.

    We're getting married at City Winery in Chicago! I'm in love with the ivy-covered brick wall, and the natural elegance of the indoor/outdoor spaces means I can get away with the bare minimum in terms of decorations. And because it's a winery, a wine tasting is included as part of the cocktail hour!

    Our venue is named Castle on the Lake. I was hesitant at first to book it because it is at least 3 hours away from where a majority of our guests are coming from, but when the groom says “I can see us getting married here” you have to book it! Our venue includes just about everything and the whole wedding planning process has been so stress free!
