Ours is Edgy Boho...incorporating boho antlers and wildflowers, but using jewel tones as the color pop. I actually dye my hair Colbalt Blue so I think all of the colors will blend nicely. We're having a vintage house ceremony and a more edgy boho modern brunch reception.
Whimsical Wooded Winter Wonderland. Think Alice in Wonderland (Johnny Depp) Mad Hatter Tea Party meets Wooded Winter Wonderland. It’s the Sunday before Christmas so it will be a family style dinner with all our favorite foods served charcuterie style. We travel a lot around the country camping. We sleep in a tent sometimes and sometimes in our Tesla. So we love nature and we feel connected to the environment, so bringing nature into our wedding is of course a must. I’m using wood flowers—-they are amazing.
My fiance & I have decided to do red white and blue. The guys will wear a nice pair of jeans, nice button up shirt, & boots.
I want it to be nice but not to formal. I want everyone that comes too feel comfortable and know that its going to be up beat and fun.
As for ours, I would describe it as a moody plant theme. When I search for decor or inspiration, I throw "tropical" "boho" "plants" in the search bar, which helps a little. I am REALLY into plants; I have over 150 right now and plan to get more when we get spring/ summer inventory in at work. (I work in a garden center.) At least 40 of my own plants will be incorporated into the wedding since I got a few for our first place together; its like they grew with us! Our colors are: black, dark emerald, burt orange, and Im not sure about the last color... either mustard yellow or a sandy brown. Im accenting a lot with velvet textures (Bridesmaid dresses, table runners, small details) Im gonna blend elements of these two for the ceremony (triangle from top with the greenery and antlers from the bottom) Monstera Deliciosia is definitely in my top 3 favorites of all time. This one is about three foot long and four foot tall. I have four other ones (smaller) not photoed. Likely going to be the most common plant at my wedding. Red congo philodendron, about the same size as the monstera in the last picture. This was taken right after watering, so I apologize for any droopiness. I love this one so much, I gotta have it there. Plus shes always putting out new leaves. Dark leaves. (Color scheme!!) This is just a photo I found of my car after a trip to my favorite nursery and Lowes, but all these plants are still alive and they work. Mostly wanted to point out the monstera adasonaii basket (top left). That and various ferns will likely take up most of the other plants.
