Legitimate travel site for Maui?

Nerdchick, on March 11, 2019 at 1:25 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 10
Hopefully we aren't cutting it too close to book our honeymoon. We want to go to Hawaii!! We're looking for a more luxurious hotel (one with a spa, more than one pool), nice beach (naturally), we would like a to do a package for flight (out of Oregon), car, hotel, activities. What service to use? What's a good price for this?

I would contact a travel agent, or use Travelocity or Expedia. They're both great sites that book everything for you.

We are also wanting to go to Maui, have not booked anything officially yet though. We are planning to do a package through Costco travel as that is some of the best deals we have seen!

Costco has great deals. We are going to Maui & Oahu in July. I booked our flights through Southwest, and are still researching our hotel. We used Costco for our rental car.

We almost booked Maui for our honeymoon (we've been before) I priced it out and honestly Vacations by Mariott (which is the same as expedia, you can just get Mariott points if you're booking one of their hotels) was the best pricing.

We really loved the Ka'anapali beach area and the Sheraton hotel when we went last time, and were going to stay there again (or the Westin which is right next door) I have heard that Wailea Beach Resort is a very nice hotel (but very $$$ and kind of in a remote area) so it just depends on what you want. We liked Ka'anapali because the beach was nice, great snorkeling right off the reach (by Black Rock at the Sheraton) and Whalers Village with shops and restaurants was a 5 minute walk on the boardwalk. The hotel also arrived a free shuttle to Lahaina (Front Street) where there was additional restaurants and shopping.

If you are getting you're own car, I wouldn't book any activities with a company (at least for driving activities) You can do the Road to Hana and Haleakala Volcano on your own and on your own time. Also, do the North Maui shore drive (Nakalele blowhole, heart shaped rock, etc.)

I didn't use Expedia or Travelocity for our honeymoon since I booked a condo through VRBO. But we've booked lots of vacation packages through Travelocity! We used them for Mexico last summer when I was a bridesmaid in my cousin's wedding. We were able to select flights, the resort (we just had to search the one she was getting married at), and even our airport transfer to the resort.

We looked at Costco travel, they have great deals. We ultimately ended up booking a condo at the Westin resort through VRBO. I love that we'll have a full kitchen, washer and dryer and still be at a resort.

Interesting, I'll definitely look into Marriott vacations. From what I've been seeing, I like the kaanapali area as well.

We used http://www.unforgettablehoneymoons.com/ to book our honeymoon to Cancun. But they're known for their Hawaii packages. They were incredibly helpful too. They didn't charge me to do research options or prices which I really appreciated.
