Lavender Toss

Meghan, on June 13, 2013 at 8:00 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

Alright so due to super strict city ordinance/venue restrictions we are limited to the following things to toss at the send off...bubbles, lavender, bird seed, or rose petals. I wanted sparklers or chinese wishing lanterns this is a Dallas city ordinance NO NO. Venue say no to rice, glitter or confetti. Bubbles are out...FH isn't a fan, I hate roses (not my thing so please dont take offense), and I dont know about you but I dont want to be pleted with bird seed!! That crap hurts! So that leaves me with lavender, which I like. So to those who have done a lavender toss, how far in advance did you buy it? How much did you buy (we are expecting around 100 guest)? How much do you put in each little toss cone?

Do a search on here. I think a few brides are doing a lavender toss. I'd do it for you, but I'm on my phone. Sorry!

Ugh I know what you mean! I wanted nothing more but to use sparklers in my send off but my venue has strict rules against it. It's a historic mansion and there is no open flame anywhere what so ever so we have to use LED candles in our centerpieces. It wasn't a huge deal breaker because the place is breath taking but they won't let us use bird seed, petals, bubbles, confetti pretty much nothing. Luckily those things didn't mean THAT much to me but I will have to ask about the lavender toss. Cute idea!
