Late Night Snack

Maria, on July 12, 2019 at 1:17 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3
For everyone that did a late night snack, how did you figure out how much to order? We are thinking about doing swensons (an Ohio burger place) and having it delivered around 10:30pm. We’re probably going to have around 200 people at the reception and most likely will have some people leave before the swensons is delivered. So I’m thinking around 150ish people will still be there at 10:30? Thanks!

I think that would be fine! We are doing a late night snack as well but its built into our package with the caterer so it's off of what we originally have as a guest count. It's coming out about an hour/hour and a half after dinner. Right in the middle of the dancing.

Hey Maria! Congratulations on your engagement!

I love hearing of brides doing late night snacks, I think it such a great idea and really appreciated by guests. You don’t want your guests to be dancing on an empty stomach!

Food for 150 people sounds about right. You’re right in saying that some people will have already left by then and there is no point buying way too much food and having it go to waste.

What time are you planning on serving dinner?

Yummy burgers. That sounds about right. I think you just need to know your crowd to estimate how many will really stay late. I have been thinking about late night snacks a lot lately because my timeline is to start ceremony early & end reception early. (1pm-9) Meaning dinner will be served 4pm. Im planning a snack around 7:30/8. Im thinking something simple like pizzas. Expecting 150guests, since its a long day im guessing about 70will be left by then. I like the idea of a food truck but that sounds expensive
