Late Night Rendezvous in Chicago

Janitra, on December 11, 2012 at 2:03 PM Posted in Married Life 0 10

Im am looking for a wedding venue that will allow us stay until 1 or 2am. I would like to have my cocktail hour and reception in the same place so I will need to book about 10 hours. I know some privately owned venues allow this but Im not sure which ones. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I'm sure lots of venues will let you stay that late, you're just going to have to pay through the nose for a higher food and beverage minimum or pay extra staff and room rental fees. Remember, the staff has to be there before and after your event begins and ends so a 10 hour event for you equals a 12-14hr work day for the staff.

My suggestion is to host an after party at a bar or club nearby. That way your guests won't be bored of staying in the same place for so long, and you will probably save a lot of money!

My Venue allowed it. However it's in canada Nav centre. It's about an hr from New York state, and Montreal Quebec, it is in Ontario. If you're willing to do destination. They comped our suite the night of which was so huge we had an after party with all our friends that travelled. We also got the room the day before to decorate, didn't ahve to pay for the venue as long as we ordered a meal for every guest.

Welcome to WW, Janitra!! You may want to let us know where you are located and add it to the title of your post to catch the eye of any ladies in your area that can help. You can also check out the vendor listings here on WW to see if any of those venues can accomodate your times.

Also, I hope you'll update your avatar (the rings) to a unique picture we can remember so we can help you more in the future! This post tells you how to do that and more about the forums: https://www.weddingwire.com/wedding-forums/new-to-the-weddingwire-forums-please-read-before-you-post/b433c40c1a62b96a.html

Itasca Country Club has liquor license until 2am. You'll be able to stay till then! I'm guessing you would have to pay a little extra though.

My reception is at Fountain Blue in Des Plaines... I know they normally stop at midnight, but I believe you can pay to keep the party going past midnight.

Another bride on here, Kris, was married in Chicago at the Aeree Loft (http://www.room1520.com/aeree-loft.shtml). I know her reception last into the wee hours of the morning (DH family is Polish).
