Late night food truck?

LouLou6218, on December 21, 2017 at 5:26 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 17
For an outdoor festival themed wedding, we are planning on BBQ buffet dinner and then a few hours later we thought about having a late night snack food truck. Is this too much food? Guests will be eating dinner around 5:30 and the truck would probably serve around 9:30. Will guests be too full? I’d rather send guests home with food on their stomach after drinking and it goes with our festival vibe so well. Anyone else do a truck or attend a wedding with one? Thoughts?

That sounds awesome and like so much fun! I’d focus on smaller snacks from the truck, instead of filling stuff. Like, pretzels, fries, etc. Or if they do minis like sliders, that would be fun too!

I'm obsessed with food trucks so I would make room! We thought about doing that but the one that we wanted wouldn't travel to our location.

That sounds great! If you're dancing, people will be hungry from that. I'd say go ahead!

Whoops, just realized you did say snacks. The app keeps logging me out so I skipped over the OP when I typed my response lol. I would love to attend the kind of wedding you’re planning! Seems like a fun and delicious surprise for your guests.

Four hours later after drinking and dancing, I would definitely be hungry. I say go for it.

That sounds like a cute idea especially for your theme. I've seen lots of Pinterest ideas with food trucks and they look pretty nice. I think it's a good idea to have a late night snack.

I think four hours after eating begins is good timing when people are drinking. Just try to do munchy food on the truck and not full entrees or anything.

Love it!!! Definitely appreciated to have a late night bite and soak up some booze. Depending on what time your reception ends, you could push the start time on the food trucks back a bit to maybe the last hour or so. I did a wedding planning once where we had the In-N-Out truck come at 10 (11 pm end time). It was a HUGE hit.

That's four hours between dinner and the food truck. I think the food truck is a great idea, and after some drinks, the guests will appreciate something to nosh on. Every wedding I've attended with a food truck at the end has been a smashing success.

Can I ask if you ended up doing this? I am thinking about a food truck for a late night snack as well. Just wondering about the logistics and how payment worked. Did you settle up with the food truck after the fact based on consumption?
