Late night bites?

Natalie, on February 26, 2020 at 7:52 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 13
Hi brides! How do you all feel about providing late-night bites for the later half of your reception? (like sliders, skewers and other mini handhelds). Is it necessary? Personally, I think it’s a great idea that I didn’t even think about until our venue mentioned it - but do guests notice if this isn’t provided or do you think it’s something we can go without?

I like the idea! But we are 100% at our max budget so it won’t happen at my wedding lol.

I like the idea, but I have also heard people say have it at the hotel you picked for guests! If you are the type of person to still want to hang after the reception is over at the hotel!

They’re a great bonus, but definitely not a necessity.

A late night snack is part of our wedding package so we’re going with pizza. I think it’ll be a good idea with people dancing and drinking.

This was one thing we knew we wanted and are doing a make your own nacho bar for our late night. My fiancé loves nachos. It’s actually the first food we ate together (first date). I’m excited for it and I’m sure our guests will be surprised (by the type of food)

I love this idea but it's pricey. We decided against it because of budget. We finish our reception at 11:30 and there is a bar/restaurants open until 2am in the hotel lobby so there are other late night options on site which makes me feel a bit better about it

Definitely not a necessity, I mean people can stop somewhere after the reception. But I agree when drinking some like late night snacks would be amazing!

I think it’s a great idea. But as a guest, I wouldn’t notice if there was or wasn’t late night food unless someone mentioned it to me. Majority of guests are too busy at the bar and/or on the dance floor.

We are doing Pizza from dominoes. We can save 20% on large orders & we can order the pizzas in advance and state the time we want them delivered

I loved it at past events when they had them, so we are doing them. If you don't want to do it, it is not necessary. You also could do something small if you want it included. One of my friends had boozy mini-milkshakes passed as a late night treat and it was awesome! We are doing cheese and pepperoni flat bread and french fry shooters.

I don't think it's necessary but it's fun! We had mini hot dogs served around 10 PM.
