Last week in September or 2nd week in October Philly wedding???

Rachel, on December 4, 2025 at 10:29 AM Posted in Planning 0 1

Hi all! Looking for some opinions. I am torn between two wedding dates. One being the last week in September and the other being the 2nd week in October. The wedding would be in Philadelphia. The ceremony outdoors and the cocktail hour/reception indoors. Any advice or opinions are welcomed! I like the way the September date sounds much better, but also know it can be quite warm that time of year. I feel the October date would be more comfortable. Do I go with the actual date I like better or the October date? Please help!

You can verify the general trend of temperature here:

I remember how the start of school always seemed like the hottest point of the year. Maybe you could go with the end of September. People can be ready for the temperature. Also, it helps to have a plan to move everything inside in case of an unseasonal rain.
