Last Song of the Night?

Jessie, on June 20, 2017 at 2:47 PM Posted in Planning 0 47

Are you telling your DJ what you want played as the last song of the night? If so, what is it?

I'm trying to decide if I want to give my DJ instructions or suggestions for this and if so, what some good options are. All I can think of is "Don't Stop Believing." Or should I just let the DJ decide this?

Ours was "Sweet Caroline," because that was the "GTF out of the bar, we're closing!" song in our college town, LOL. It was fun and nostalgic for us and our college friends. Can you think of a song with a similar memory for you and your friends?

These are great suggestions! A slow song could be nice... Maybe I'll give the DJ a suggestion for both a fast and slow song and she can choose which would be best given the atmosphere at the moment.

@Runaway, I love that your song had special meaning to you! We we're not part of a big friend group so something like that wouldn't work for us, but it's a lovely idea.

We're going to choose between "Closing Time" and "The Final Countdown". We want a cheesy, goofy exit.

I love the idea of Closing Time. It's appropriate for our friends, as well. Even though we weren't all friends at the time, we did all go to high school in the 90s!

I recently considered having a song as the last dance before leaving. It's something I actually didn't think to include right away. I'm thinking of using For All Time by Michael Jackson. It's a more obscure song but it's slow and very romantic and I love it dearly.

@Snoozie, thank you so much for that tip! We are, in fact, doing a glow stick exit. I hadn't even thought about how that would impact the last dance song.
