Last minute snafus

So the original wedding date was April 11th and 17 days before the big day we had to postpone (thank you covid-19) So now the big day is October 3rd. Here we are 14 days out and my fiance's work decides "oh if you go then you have to quarantine for 2 weeks without pay and we won't except a negative test result so you can come back early, you have to be out for 2 weeks" His best man works there too (his wife is one of my bridesmaids and their daughter is our flower girl) 2 Weeks Away for the date and they drop out because they can't afford for him to miss 2 weeks of work..so there goes half my bridal line. Also, my fiance's sister (who offered to make all of our boutonnieres to help save us some &dollarSmiley winking has also decided that she cannot go. The florist can't add on 14 boutonnieres so last minute so that screws me over as well....Is there anything else that covid-19 would like to mess up for what should have been the happiest day of my life?! Just needed to vent!

Remember to breathe. Everything will be fine. 2 weeks out I was super stressed too.
The only suggestion I have is you can make simple boutonnières with flowers from the grocery store. Wrap a little ribbon around the stem. That’s what I did. It was so easy I did them the morning of the wedding.

You have every right to be frustrated and I'm really sorry those things are happening. Although I'm not sure why his sister cannot make the boutonnieres even if she's not going. I know coronavirus is a pain in the butt and trust me we all hate it I wanted to go away but this is what it is and I hate to tell you things like that could happen even in an odd pandemic situation. It may be easier said than done but you just need to remember that a days about you two becoming husband and wife and that's all that matters not who can come. You are 14 days away from becoming someone's wife and starting a new journey in your life so let that be your focus to keep you happy when things don't go as planned.

Ugh! I'm so sorry about the travel complications! FWIW making boutonnieres is very simple. I once made them for an entire Brownie troop for their Father-Daughter dance.... Smiley winking I get that you'll probably be too busy to do them, but maybe a mom/aunt/friend would be willing to watch a couple Youtube videos to learn how. You'd just need to supply them with some fresh (even from the grocery store) or silk flowers, florists tape, and long straight pins. They are NOT hard. Good luck! Smiley heart

Thanks ladies for the kind words. I work at hobby lobby so I raided the boutonnieres and decided that we will add ribbon for our pop of color and possibly some fresh flowers if there is time. We are driving from Maine down to NC for the wedding so time is not on our side. I will have my maid of honor standing beside me and he will have his brother and other friend (i hate that it is uneven but there is no way around it) We also have to get his new best man to write up a speech asap..oh and my 2 nephews that are the ring bearers (ages 7 and 3) the 3 yr old might be throwing some flowers out since I no longer have a flower girl. I'm trying to remember it is about us starting are next chapter but I'm still disappointed.
