Last minute items?

Allymonbanana, on October 31, 2016 at 11:42 AM Posted in Planning 0 13

Alright people! 5 days to go and I have the entire week off to get stuff done. Do any of you have advice for any last minute items I should purchase, or that I should organize?

Today is the only day I don't have any appointments scheduled, I would like to use my time wisely.

The things I thought I had time for and didn't were getting my nails done and my hair cut--if you have any things like that get them done now (maybe pushing it on nails unless you do gels!).

There really aren't last minute items you need, but do put together a couple of basic supplies--safety pins, ibuprofen, bandaids, bottled water, and flats if you plan to wear heels (just in case). Even if you just keep that stuff in the car..if you NEED it you will be glad you have it.

I'm ahead of the game girl! I started packing last weekend, and I have a checklist. I am getting all my beauty appointment's done this week.

This is the blessing and a curse of being a legal assistant. I feel like I am TOO organized! LOL

    Thanks for the advice!

I got cufflinks for FH as a gift. (I LOVE Amazon)

Mrs. Walters, i know what you mean items being specific to your wedding. I am in that same boat. We are going to order cupcakes today. Buying the remaining beverages for everything later this week. I also need to figure out what to buy food wise for when we are getting ready the day of.

We have a membership to Sam's Club. I plan on looking at the fruit and veggie trays there too since we will be there to buy soda and water. I just need OJ for mimosas...but if I forget it i'm sure it won't be a big deal. LOL ; )

--If you havent started to write your bridal party thank you letters (bridesmaids, parents, etc) do so asap. I was attempting to write mine the day of the rehearsal and I was a crying mess lol. I made it through half my bridesmaid before I had to call it quits because I was crying so hard lol.

--Bring extra full length mirrors ($5 Walmart) if your venue doesn't have many.

--Bring a bottle of wine for the night before. I was so stressed at the rehearsal and decorating that I definitely needed a drink.

The thank you cards I will probably start today.

Thanks about the full length mirror. I might have my sister bring hers. Our hair is getting done first thing in the morning at the salon. Then makeup will be done in the hotel suite.

I doubt some of my date twins will have time...I am trying to keep my house as clean/tidy as possible this week. I am doing laundry, keeping the kitchen clean and started a pile of gifts that have been delivered to us. The last thing I want is so come home to a dirty house on top of all the wedding crap i'm going to have to organize through after all the madness is over.

I'm sure this is a very low priority but I am trying to save myself from being so overwhelmed next weekend.

Allymonbanana we're actually doing the same thing. We're making it a point to keep the house as clean as we can (our vehicles too). I caught up on all the laundry on sunday, and will do 1 or 2 last second loads probably either sunday or monday right before we leave for the honeymoon lol.
