Hi everyone! I hope the wedding planning is going well. We are getting married on September 5th. I wanted to hear some feedback on an idea I had to have this more socially distanced for our wedding. Right now the ceremony and cocktail hour are outside. But the reception is inside. My idea is this: have the first dances/speeches/dinner inside then have the DJ direct people to an outside dance floor for the remainder of the night. I think this would really help our guests feel more comfortable but I’m really worried about the flow of the night and how things will look. Should be bring out tables from the reception ballroom? Right now there will only be 2 tables and 3 high tops. I thought about renting more tables but that’s where it would get more expensive. I am open to any ideas and thoughts! Thanks!

Can you do it all outside?
I like the idea, but unless you keep the bar outdoors, getting them back outside may be difficult

Outside would be awesome but depending on what state you’re in & what time you’re wedding is, it might be a little too hot.

I'd just try to equip the outdoors as an additional hang out area! If there can be a 2nd dance floor and 2nd bar out there that would be amazing! But even having a few cocktail tables or seating groups with sanitizer will encourage people to spread out!
