Large misting cooling fan unit

Christine, on February 2, 2018 at 1:19 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
Hello,

im reposting since I Realize I wasn’t clear on my question,

im curious if anyone has ever used a large misting cooling fan unit before (not small handheld misters)? Or been to an event that had it they attended? They are more like “industrial type” misting fans not the little handheld it’s like this one http://www.mobilemistinglv.com/rental/. They oscillate and can cool 3000 sq feet and an area up to 27 degrees

I’m NOT looking for opinions of whether I should or shouldn’t use it, just want to know if anyone had any experience with it and thoughts. We are having an evening Ceremony, reception inside, but possible dancing outside. Thankyou in advance

My thoughts are still that if you need to use one of these, no part of your event should be outside. Industrial misters are for amusement parks and sporting events, not weddings where guests are dressed nicely.

Reposting for you just in case my comment wasn't clear the first time:

Doesn't matter what time your ceremony is, if it's hot enough for you to think these might be necessary, it is too hot to expect guests to be outside sitting through it. No, it's not just for 20 minutes because your ceremony is "like, really short". People arrive early to be respectful to the bride's entrance. That means 15-30 minutes or more prior to the start time. Then they sit through the ceremony. Ceremonies may run long for whatever reason. So now you've expected your guests to sit outside in 80+degree heat and humidity for an hour or more because it's "your" day and that's what you want. Some of your guests might be pregnant, some might be elderly, some might have illnesses or health conditions. You need to be considerate of these kinds of things before forcing people to sit through these weather conditions. And if you're going to say, "well then they don't have to come to the ceremony!" then you shouldn't be extending an invite to them in the first place.

Exactly this. And you don't get to tell us what we should or shouldn't say. We represent different cultures, states and countries so if the majority of us are saying you need to reevaluate having anything outside then you should consider this advice. Your guests won't tell you to your face the things we tell you here.
