Shawnee, on July 20, 2017 at 1:30 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 52

I have been looking for a weight loss system but I more so want somethinng that is a lifestyle change. I have seen LadyBoss come up on my Facebook lately so i read up on it. It seems awesome! But it also seems like a total gimic. I was wondering if anyone had tried them or if anyone has any suggrstuons for a lifestyle health and fitness program.

Nope. But me, FSIL and her husband have been doing Keto for the last 2 months. We are each down about 30 pounds each

I honestly have lost 35 pounds using MyFitnessPal. I am watching what I eat, cutting sugars and carbs, and switching to whole grains, but I still am eating what I love. I just log it in the system and keep an eye on my macros and it's worked like a charm!

It's just another system. She supposedly sends you meal plans and have at home workouts and such but I'm just trying to make sure it's not a gimic but I'm pretty sure it is.

It's not a gimmick. I have friends that do it and they have a motivational group on facebook. many women have a lot of success from it. HOWEVER, for the money it costs, I would hire an actual trainer who can address YOUR specific needs.

The Ladyboss thing is actually pretty legit. I followed her before she started up her company. She's a pretty chill girl who is really good at explaining you don't need gimmicks, just hard work and the right nutrition. If you're motivated enough to do it on your own just count macros and start lifting heavy and doing HIIT, that's exactly what the program is made up of.

ETA: I've seen a lot of success stories with Kayla Itsines' bikini body guide (BBG) or Katy Hearn's challenges.

I've been keto since the beginning of the year and I'm down 33 pounds. This is a way of life for me now. Find what works for you and stick with it. I'm not familiar with Ladyboss, but I would avoid anything that is selling you a product. You don't need pills, or anything else to lose weight, just a sensible diet and exercise.

I've tried every weight loss program out there my entire life. And I do mean my entire life because my mother always thought I was fat as a kid so I had to diet from an early age and the only one that was actually good and I was able to keep the pounds off for a long time was weight watchers. They really are a lifestyle change program. I really liked it when I did so long ago. When I have to start my weight loss for my wedding I will try them again.

I recommend talking to your primary care physician, do annual blood work, and get a nutrition plan catered to your needs. If you want to skip that, my recommendations are to limit your sugar and processed food intake, eat 5-6 small balanced meals per day with lean proteins, good carbs and green veggies, drink lots of water, eliminate pop and other sugar filled drinks.

It's not a "gimmick", but it's just lining her pockets when you could get the exact same results by doing your own research.

It's like when people pay someone (or pay to attend a seminar) on how to rebuild credit. The same information is available for free on the internet.

Obviously, if you have the money then go for it. The meal plans that some of these people offer are great if you're limited on time. But honestly, if you could carve out 2-3 hours one day a week, you can create your own meals to last you a few days. This from someone who is lazy AF. lol

For health reasons I really had to clean up my lifestyle and go plant based. Not that my intent was to lose weight but I've dropped about 25 pounds within the last 2 months. Like FutureMrs stated talk with your primary physician and see what they recommend.

I agree with some of the above comments: I started Weight Watchers in September and have lost almost 30 pounds already. I like it for the following reasons: (1) if you attend the in-person meetings, it motivates you because you have to step on the scale at the store every week; (2) it encourages fitness/healthy choices, but it is manageable even without fitness; and (3) it's variable -- if you're traveling or have a lot of business dinners/lunches (and therefore can't food prep too much), it's a program that you can make work.

I will say it makes sense. Usually when you are craving something, it’s because you’re lacking something healthy in your diet. I can’t remember all of the signs my coach told me. I’m lazy/busy, and stick to his meal plan for me. For ex: craving ice cream could mean you actually need some nuts/almonds. Stuff like that. I think it’s actually a useful tool if you’re looking for a lifestyle change as opposed to just a diet.

I have been looking into her too. They offer a 7 days free try out to see if it’s worth it.

Not a gimmick at all! I've been doing LadyBoss for a year and have had some ups and downs but I'm losing weight and getting toned. And the social group that goes along with it really helps!

I recently lost 40 pounds. I suggest looking into the Whole30. It isn't necessarily a diet or even designed for people to lose weight, though most of the time they do. It's 30 days of eliminating foods and processed things that cause bloating. I lost 11 pounds on my first round in August and am currently in the middle of another round because the holidays messed me up! At the end of the 30 days you reintroduce legumes, dairy, and grains a few days a part from each other and it helps to pin point which foods irritate you personally. If you are looking for a program that will truly change your relationship with food, I highly suggest it!

Hi ladies! I'm a nutritionist and clinical pharmacist. I have done years of research into diet and nutrition "using food as medicine" and now always recommend low carb/high fat diets to all of my patients looking to lose weight, improve their blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and blood sugars. Any diet which limits carbs can be used really. I usually refer my patients to Atkins or Keto diets for ease of access online. What's important is to remember for these diets to be most effective to include plenty of fat...because fat keeps you full, energized, and it tastes great obviously! It's been my life's passion to keep spreading the word of LCHF nutrition since health professionals/institutions are lagging way behind with their archaic low-fat recommendations. Good luck ladies! I know you all will be amazing and beautiful!!!

Try the HCG diet. it is EXTREMELY intense (Injections & a 500 calorie diet) but it works and it is definitely a change in lifestyle even after the program (there is a 26 day or 46 day) This diet is not for everyone, but it is great. My first round I lost 35 lbs in the 46 days. I start my second round next month. Do your research beforehand! visit the website Nuimagemedical.com
