Lack of communication vent!

Lauren, on September 30, 2019 at 11:22 PM Posted in Family and Relationships 0 9
My MOH messaged my bridal party asking to talk about the bachelorette party (I am so appreciative to have a MOH who asked to take the lead on planning one!) And no one responded to her. She'd been using Facebook messenger because it was easier for those who don't know each other, so we decided she could try a text, maybe some don't check fb. I texted the group a separate question I had been meaning to ask so my MOH could have everyone's phone number. No response except 1! Of 4! Just needed to vent because if there is one thing I cant stand its lack of communication! If you dont want to participate in some wedding related activity, that's ok! but just say so! End rant!

Ugh same thing happening with my moh and bridesmaids. Most of them are very quick to respond but one (being my eldest sister so I can’t Just kick her out) will just ignore the texts and originally exited out of the group chat entirely. I asked her if she didn’t want to be a bridesmaid and she assured me she did. She already said no to the Bach party which was a bummer but I get it she’s 12 years older than I am. But like at least respond, I know you have your phone with you!

Right! I had one Beidesmaid that would never respond to any texts from other people. As a result, she missed out on a lot of stuff, including getting her The Real Bridesmaid of the Wedding of...” 👚

A few of my bridesmaids have been doing this also. It is very frustrating! My MOH just planned the bachelorette party all herself, she got tired of waiting for them. Smh

Dang that stinks. Could the MOH try to message people individually? I don't understand how people ignore group texts and there is no excuse not to provide a courteous response, but maybe they would respond to an individual text? Another thought is maybe people are worried about finances and are afraid to speak up? Sometimes people just plain suck, but definitely try to find out if there are other factors.

Yea I definitely think that is the next step! I'd totally understand that. But, the group text i sent was just about coming over to my place to hang out and do some crafting (we had all talked about it when we got together in july) so no money issues possible there! If it were me and I felt weird responding in the group text I'd respond individually! But I definitely agree with you and I'll probably try to chat with everyone individually!

It's frustrating. 100%. Same thing happens to me. But they text me outside of the group to answer what I asked them. It's not like it's personal either. I'm just asking what you guys think about shoes!!!!!!!!

Were they asked a specific question? Unless I have to answer a question I would not respond either.

It may be awkward and annoying, but your MOH may need to pick up the phone and call each bridesmaid to get answers.
