LaceMarry??

Stacey, on September 22, 2017 at 2:56 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

I found a dress I LOVE, but I'm super scared to order it online...from China. Has anyone used LaceMarry on etsy? I see a lot of rave reviews, but I'm still hesitant.

Also, with my wedding 7 months away, do I order now? Planning to lose about 20 lbs by then (fingers crossed lol). Do I order with my current measurements and have it altered locally if/when I need to?

Following - I am currently in talks with her to custom make me a dress. She was recommended by someone here in a dress thread somewhere!

Ehhhh I'm not sure if I'd chance a wedding dress with only 7 months to go. I will say I ordered a prom dress from China (many moons ago) and the quality was actually beyond belief. Better than most dresses my friends purchased here. But would I do it again? Can't say I would because while lovely, it also didn't look 100% like the picture. Maybe an 85% match.

ETA: Etsy might be less risky than some of those other sites though.

I've heard great things about LacyMarry, but honestly, with 7 months to go and time for alterations, I wouldn't chance it.

I actually just submitted my measurements to her for a custom dress, and she guarantees I'll have it in January. Her turn around is 8-10 weeks.

I have my original dress in case it falls through, LaceMarry is my 2nd dress

They look gorgeous but I am a little leary of the low prices. If it's your second dress I would say go for it, it doesn't sound like you will be out a ton of $$. Is there something wrong with your first dress?

Oh boy...first dress? Second dress? I have to laugh - I guess I'm a total amateur. I will only be purchasing one dress so this would be it lol.

I wouldn't take the chance honestly. You can get beautiful dresses that you're able to try on either off the rack, at resale shops, etc.

I've been obsessing over her page for like the last 2 years, I was planning on ordering from her but was gifted my dress in the end. I also follow her on Facebook where there are some more real bride photos and they're always gorgeous. I say go for it! ETA: I would first make sure to go to a shop and try on different styles/silouettes to see what works for you.

By first dress, I bought a dress already and have dress regret. I'm trying to sell it. This is not a normal thing to do lol

I got bridesmaids dresses from her (Grecian-style convertible dresses)- a few of the gals ordered a size too small so things look a bit off proportions-wise, but no complaints about her work! Lol
