Lace veil matching lace on dress?

Katie & Josh, on August 30, 2021 at 10:44 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

I bought a dress that is covered in lace - head to toe (I can't share the exact dress because my fiancé and I share this account and I don't want him to know what my dress looks like). I absolutely love it! The lace on my train extends beyond the fabric of my dress, so the train is JUST lace and looks similar to a veil.

I still want to wear a veil, but my dress is not a floral-type lace and most veils I have seen are a floral lace.

Would it look weird if the lace on my veil does not match the lace on my dress?

Any advice is immensely appreciated! Thank you!

It doesn’t have to be an exact match but it should be similar….. have you considered a tulle veil?

You don't have to get a veil with lace at all. have you considered just a plain veil?

I have considered a plain veil, but I just love the look of a lace veil.

I think a lace veil on top of a lace dress, even if perfectly matching, would be too busy for the eyes and each would compete with the other. If the two laces were different, that would be doubled.

Personally, I'd go for a plain veil just longer than the train, or a shorter one which hits at the back of the knees, so that that beautiful train can have it's moment.
