Lace Overlay at Davids Bridal

Jackie, on July 6, 2019 at 11:02 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4

I recently bought an all satin white ball gown from Davids Bridal. I am thinking about adding a lace overlay over the top part of my dress so it creates a lace top with a satin skirt. Does anyone know how much Davids Bridal charges to do this? Or has anyone done this to their dress?

I’ve never quoted alterations through DB, but all of the advice I’ve seen is to contact an independent seamstress because it’s usually significantly less expensive than going through DB directly. I think that will be pretty, good luck!

Just add a bolero. No need for alterations.

Hey Jackie!! I think this would look beautiful! Do you think that you will add this lace to your dress to alter it entirely, or are you imagining creating a top made of lace that you will wear over your dress like a jacket/top? This is definitely something that you should discuss with your seamstress as they will know exactly the cost of materials and how much work this involves.

Are there many other alterations that are needed for your dress?
