KWR: sangria recipe??

tucker052315, on February 27, 2015 at 8:45 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 4

Neither of us are big wine drinkers but we love to order Sangria at restaurants. I've tried a couple recipes I found online but they haven't hit the spot. Anyone have a good recipe we can use to make some for our reception?

    Caribbean Sangria:

    3 cups of pineapple juice

1 cups of natural orange juice

½ bottle of white wine preferably Riesling (can use Moscato if desired)

    Malibu Rum (coconut rum)

    Ice cubes

Preparation time: 5 minutes. Makes 1 pitcher, 4-6 drinks aprox. Approximate cost per person $3.50 depending on ingredients market price. You will need a pitcher, white wine glasses and a wooden spoon.

Pour the juices and the wine in the pitcher and stir with the wooden spoon, add coconut rum (one serving per person) stir again. Serve in a nice wine glass with ice and decorate with fresh pineapple slices, maraschino cherries and pineapple leaves

I love making sangria! You can really customize it to your tastes as well. The basic recipe is:

    -wine

-a liquor (brandy, triple sec, schnapps)

    -fruit juice

    -fruit garnish

This one isn't really for weddings but it's great for cookouts and BBQs. My friend calls it Cuckoo Juice but I call it Poor Man's Sangria. LOL

All that's in it is Kool-Aid (which shocked a lot of my friends), ginger ale and vodka (I like to match the flavor of vodka to the flavor of Kool-Aid. Ex: cherry vodka w/ cherry Kool-Aid). You can add any kind of fruit to it (I usually add oranges, lemon and limes).
