Ladies, would your FH stay with you if you flushed your e-ring down the toilet? I know that for me we would probably have to have a trial separation or something, lol.

If she was angry enough to do something like that, she either has major underlying issues with him, or she has a serious issue with rage. That's the kind of move that is intended to shock and devastate. That's more than a fight -- it's an indication of something being seriously wrong with him, her, or them as a couple.

That's crazzzzzzzy!! I wouldn't do that there was a lot of hard work (blood, sweat, & tears) went into the purchase of my ring.

My FH has told me he would "throw up" if something ever happened to the E-ring. LOL!!

I say that he did something very, very bad to provoke that reaction from her -- and then him wanting to get her another ring.

I doubt my DF would leave me. He would just say "Well I am not buying a new one so you have to wait for the wedding ring." lol. I lost one of the diamonds of my e-ring and I called him crying just freaking out and he was cracking up on me saying I sound ridiculous all we have to do is take it back to the jeweler and add a new one.

Yikes. I wouldn't have the guts to do that! Well, it's more I could never disrespect him in that way. Mine did go into the toilet once though. Total accident... I was having a girls night out and I had to use the RR and when I went to wipe (sorry if TMI) my ring fell in the toilet!!! So, I called my gf in for support while I retrieved it and than I washed it down good with soap well my gf held her hand over the sink drain! We didn't want any more accidents. I never told FH, but I did tell him that I think it needed to be resized because it felt really loose- sure enough we took it in and the ring was a 6.5 and I'm a 5.5! I surprised I didn't lose it sooner! I know it was always slipping off, but since it was so new to me I was really careful and always aware of it. Now that its been so long, it feels weird whenever I do take it off.

I would never do something as drastic as that and if I did we wouldn't be together anymore he would definitely leave me.

I couldnt imagine doing something so disrespectful as throwing that symbol away!!! As for accidentally, my FH would be mad but it would be fine later thats why we have insurance. But an intentional tossing away of something that the FH spent $, time, thought, love, caring etc. on would be horrible!

Are you sure it was on purpose and not an accident ? I just cant imagine anyone doing something so idiotic and stupid. I'm especially careful with my e-ring. I always take it off before going to the ladies room or even cooking dinner. Always place it in a safe spot too. Don't need any accidents.

I could never see a circumstance where I would do that, but in the event I lost my mind and ever did...at least my ring is insured Smiley smile
