Kroger/grocery store flowers??

Margaretrose, on March 30, 2019 at 6:52 PM Posted in Style and Décor 3 23
Has anyone ordered flowers from a grocery store and how did you go about it? We don’t have many florists around where we live and our Krogers (yet we have 2 Krogers within a 5 minute drive) always have very good flowers. However, I’m just so stumped about how to go about getting bouquets from them. Do you just walk in and ask the people at the floral counter? This is probably such a stupid question but this is my latest thing to be stressed about 😩

I had a friend get her flowers from a florist in a grocery store and they were beautiful. I would call and ask to talk with the florist and ask about any wedding packages. They will set up an appointment to meet with you and discuss what they can do.

There is a place to order flowers (including wedding flowers) from Kroger:

If you ask the person at the floral counter, they can tell you if they do weddings. Also, you can call Kroger and ask to speak with the florist.

Heb, whole foods, Kroger, Randall's, and Walmart sometimes have full service floral. Most do set up, delivery, and clean up.

If you are diy, Costco.com is also great.

Nobody really walks up to a florist and says, I have unlimited money, go crazy with floral anymore. Most all florist try to be budget friendly

Mine will be from Shoprite, I assume very similar to how Kroger does theirs. We don’t have Kroger but I met with the floral manager and told her what I wanted and it was such a good deal. She did the flowers for my sister’s as well and they turned out beautiful. Trust the grocery stores.

We’re ordering our flowers from our local grocery store (Market 32/Price Chopper). They have great reviews and the cost was very reasonable.

We are getting ours done at Wegmans, a large grocery store in the NE, and honestly could not be happier! Our florist is great. I know Kroger’s have florists so I would just ask or give them a call.

Using the same grocery store as Marieke! My mom used them for her wedding years ago and everything was beautiful.

I called to make an appointment for a consultation as we live out of town. During our appointment, we discussed what we were looking for and the woman who helped us was great! She even put together a mock centerpiece right on the spot.

We decided to not go with the centerpieces as my mom is super crafty and is awesome with arrangements using faux flowers. We're also going to use a lot of candles.

We're only getting my bouquet ($50), bridesmaid bouquets ($40), boutonnieres ($7.99), and corsages ($19.99).

I hope you have good luck Margaretrose! Kroger is a pretty good grocery store so I would assume their floral department is great.

If you are a member of Costco or Sams club, they offer really great prices on bulk flowers. Sams also offers a huge selection of “wedding packages” with specific numbers of bouquets, boutonnières, center pieces, aisle decor, etc. if you don’t have a membership but a friend does, you could still order to your address

Thanks everyone for the help! I finally had the time to go by and check out the Kroger situation and they told me they’ve never made bouquets before and therefore didn’t want to do it but they could provide just the boutonnières!! Like that was helpful! It actually ended up being kind of hilarious and I’m sure we’ll figure something out but I guess the grocery store thing doesn’t always work out!

I just got mine from trader Joe's today for my wedding on Friday. They had exactly what I wanted without ordering ahead, if they didnt have what I wanted I would have gone to king soopers as they have a large selection as well.

Its not a stupid question at all. I will be getting my mom's remembrance bouquet from the fresh market because I want her to have fresh flowers. I will be tying lace around it to make it look pretty.

Hey guys, just piggy-packing off of this discussion... I'm getting married in November too & wanted to know if anybody knew more about the Kroger's/Sam Club florist? Could I just go into a Sam's club or Kroger's & purchase the bouquets the day of?? I'm too stressed for DIY lol.

Hey! So I actually did go to a Kroger and get my wedding flowers. We went about a month before, spent about 30 minutes at the counter and ordered a bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnières, and loose flowers for decorations that we stuffed into vases the morning of. I personally would order them because they were able to make it look way more “bouquet-y” looking than one you just pick up in the store. They turned out beautifully and I think my bridal bouquet was $40. They let me pick out whatever flowers I liked from a book they had and even suggested flowers in store that I may like. Honestly was a huge money and time saver for me.

They sold them in “boxes”, which vary between types of flowers but they were about 40 stems each id say in a box. We got two greenery and three different types of flowers and we had a ~60 person wedding for reference.

You have no idea how much you’ve helped me! Thank you, Kroger’s is a genius idea!! I think i’ll do the same. It just doesn’t make any sense to spend thousands of dollars on flowers 😄

    Hello!

I helped my friend to get the flowers from Kroger too. There is a place you can get the flowers at discount price:

My Kroger’s has a wedding florist. She’s doing everything for $875 but I’m thinking about buying wood flowers for the arch and cake so I’m sure it’ll be cheaper
