Kohl's Registry Problems

klowry, on March 28, 2017 at 9:37 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

Any other WW folks out there with a Kohl's registry having problems? I am not typically one to complain but so far we have had four gifts (that we know of) purchased off of our registry. Every single one of them has not been reflected on our registry website.

The easiest solution to this would be to just delete them myself, right? That is what I did at first. The only catch here is that Kohl's has the 10% rewards based on purchased items. I quickly added the items back to my registry and contacted customer service to help me mark them as purchased. However, they were zero help trying to solve this problem for future purchases. Any tips out there from brides or grooms who have recently used Kohl's for their wedding registry?

Honestly, if it happens again, I would consider moving my registry but I am not sure if that would be ridiculously confusing for our guests?

We did not register with Kohl's for this exactly reason.

There inventory is changing constantly and it's never the same. Week to week it's different. Someone told me not to register there.

    We went with Macy's and BB& B

    & congrats date twin <3

So far, I haven't had an issue with inventory. That has been more of a problem for us at Target but it doesn't bother me as much to delete and add new things.

Perhaps when your guest purchased off the list in store they did not give cashier a printed copy so cashier could scan that which is tied to your registry?

I haven't had any issues i am aware of. I see that 21 items have been purchased off mine and a couple of those were shipped directly to me with a note from the purchaser. My shower isn't until this Sunday.

If the person that purchased it didn't tell the cashier or mark it online when they purchased it then it is not Kohl's fault.

@ryan great question. So far it seems as though they have either given the registry barcode to scan at the register or have purchased directly off the registry online. So that's why I can't seem to find a solution...

Maybe it was a fluke thing to happen multiple times in a row and it won't happen again. Crossing my fingers.

We did a registry at Kohls, too. Everything time I try to access our wedding registry it says I entered an invalid username and password. I have tried multiple times to reset the password and it never helps. I know I enter the right information because I'm old fashion and wrote everything down. Every time I think I am logged in, I just spins and spins as if it is loading, but our items don't appear. I regret registry at Kohls now.

I had a horrible experience with the Kohl's registry as well. I originally had to create three registries because once created they were not able to be found by myself or any of my guests. I created a registry in-store with a Kohl's employee and the same thing happened. It later got escalated in their tech department and was fixed, but the issues were only beginning there. I was unable to see who purchased gifts, in order to write thank-you cards, and calling tech support yielded the same issue where they could not find my registry. Unlike my Macy's or Williams Sonoma registry, one is unable to view who purchased the item so that they can thank the person appropriately. Some of the deliveries I received from Kohl's did not come with a packing slip so they is no way of knowing who purchased the gift. The final tech support person I spoke to at Kohls did say that "who ever purchased the gifts must be a good person". I was dumbfounded when I heard that.
I recommend not adding anything to a Kohl's registry unless you are 100% sure you want the item...I returned a $140 unopened blender about a month after it was purchased, and was given a $40 gift card for the item.

We did a registry at Kohl's too. I was looking on my registry and it says that someone purchased the 24 piece pyrex storage set and I never received it at my bridal shower or wedding. I have contacted customer service and they said that there is no way of finding out who purchased the item. I'm thinking someone purchased the item and probably kept it for themselves. My Aunt had purchased a item off my registry and when she went to pay for it my Aunt told the cashier this is off this registry and the cashier never marked the item as purchased and someone else purchased the same item so I ended up with 2 of the same items. When I went to return the item with the gift receipt I had a issue with customer service saying the item wasn't a Kohl's product. I'm glad that Kohl's is doing away with their registry's. I had a Registry with Bed Bath and Beyond and Crate and Barrel and there is a way of finding out who purchased the item by the Thank you note. I wished I never had a Kohl's registry..
