Kiss bells

Jen , on August 8, 2017 at 6:56 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 22

So we are having plastic cups at our wedding. How will our guest make the cling noise to make us kiss. I don't really want to order little bells or anything but I kinda like that tradition.

Maybe you can hang a couple signs around for them to shout a certain word or phrase to signal you two to kiss!

Believe me girl, it gets real annoying real quick! If you truly like it I guess buy the bells but I dont think you need it to kiss your husband

That's EXACTLY why we're having plastic/paper cups for our reception.

Kissing bells are relatively inexpensive on Amazon. They have cute gold ones that can act as favors and/or escort card holders too.

My FIL tried this, for all of 5 seconds; I shot him a withering glance. Clinking glasses/ringing bells is thankfully not popular, in wedding we've attended.

The last wedding I went to had bells. You could tell the couple was over it pretty quick. Guests get pretty obnoxious with them.

You will not like the tradition as much on your wedding day. Especially when you are constantly interrupted when you have food in your mouth. But if you're stuck on the idea, Amazon or Oriental Trading would have options for you.

Clinking glasses is a pretty big tradition in our circle. Our DJ suggested a "kiss list" when we had our final meeting with him. When our guests clinked their glasses the first two times, we kissed. Afterwards the DJ called out our guests who were couples and they had to kiss. Some of the guests were nervous to clink their glasses because they didn't want to get called out. Others enjoyed seeing who would get called next. Overall, everyone seemed to enjoy it. My husband and I were happy because we weren't getting interrupted every few minutes. Smiley smile

My DJ is like futuremsflax, he is going to play games with them when they clings their glasses and call up couples at the reception and have them dance or something to get the pressure off of FH and I so we can try and eat.

Our guests didn't even think to tap on their glasses to get us to kiss. Is this popular at weddings in your social circle? If it's not something that most of your guests live for at weddings, purchasing a bunch of bells might result in none of them being used. But if you know a lot of people that love to do this to couples at weddings, then by all means get a bell for each table.

The kiss on demand thing bugs the crap out of me. I made it very clear how I felt and that we didn't want to do that. Two people did. We obliged only one of them because it was an older relative. The other was a friend who I'm pretty sure I gave a good scathing look at (hopefully the photographer didn't get that! Haha!!)

We have the bell table number holders. One per table. We don't need someone to tell us when to kiss!!

My nightmare is hearing those clinking glasses all throughout the wedding. I know when to kiss my FH.

Oh god, this is popular on my side. (I hate it) I'm dreading it and not sure if I should just ignore it or what. I can see my mom banging on her glass like a maniac for 20 minutes. I like the idea of little bells if you really want this included.

The only wedding favor I've ever kept was a kissing bell. I use it for the ringing of the bells during Easter Vigil mass. I love it!

Since you don't want the bells, what @FutureMrsFlax suggested sounds fun Smiley smile
