Kings or harvest table photos - with plus ones

Candace, on September 12, 2019 at 11:36 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4

Hello,

Would any of you please share photos from your reception if you had a "kings" or "harvest" table where the Bride, Groom, Wedding party, and their plus ones were all seated at a table together? Not a "head" table where its the Bride, Groom, and Wedding party all facing the rest of the tables.

I think we are going to do this, but looking for different layout ideas and I am having trouble finding many photos online.

Thanks in advance!! Smiley heart

King's TableKings or harvest table photos - with plus ones 1

Sorry if this doesn't help since we haven't had our wedding yet, BUT we are planning to do a king's table and this is a picture from our venue essentially how we want to do it. We will sit in the middle of the table with our backs to the wall and then have no seats in the two spots across from us so that we can see our guests and they can see us. Depending on numbers with significant others, we may need to put some people on the ends to make it work.

That is super pretty! This is one of the layouts I am considering, too. We are the only ones that matter I suppose, but I wasn't sure about the plus one's backs being to the rest of the tables. I think maybe it depends on how it is all laid out.

    Thanks!

I wouldn't be too worried about backs being to others. I've been to plenty of weddings where I sat at rounds and my back was to the bride/groom and I had to turn around during speeches and whatnot. Like you said, you're the ones that matter! Plus, after dinner and all formalities everyone will be up and moving around/dancing.

I also went to a wedding my fiance was in and we sat at the King's table which was in the middle of the room, so even the bride and groom had their back to their guests. They moved their chairs and sat in the front for speeches.

I don't think there's any right or wrong way to do it as long as you and your fiance are happy! Let us know what you come up with Smiley smile

Hey Candace! I love the idea of a King's table. It makes your meal into such a celebration when you are surrounded by your friends and family.

I was recently at a wedding where the King's table was round and at the center of the room, with the guest's tables around it. I thought it was a lovely idea as the couple was at the very center of the celebrations. I didn't think it was an issue that they had their backs to some people as the couple still got to go around to each of the tables to greet guests individually.
