King protea flowers in bouquet

C, on February 25, 2020 at 5:46 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 4
Does anyone know what season is best for king protea flowers? Also, are they expensive for wedding bouquets? I want one large king protea in mine for a September wedding

Put "King Protea" in the search box on this forum and you'll find old posts mentioning them. There used to be a poster with the screen name "MrsBDG" who had them in her bouquet. I believe she ordered them from FiftyFlowers, but they have very limited availability depending on the time of year, etc. Good luck.

My daughter had a King Protea in her bouquet, and they were present in all the table centerpieces and other large floral pieces at the reception...just gorgeous!

Generally not cheap, usually hard to get just one stem. Fiftyflowers has them available for every month except June and July but they sell in 12s for $200. I saw them selling protea in threes at Costco though (not all King protea, it was a mix).
