Kids Table. Pros and Cons

Depends on the ages of the kids. I know if I had a kid at a wedding I would want them to sit with me so I could control them if need be.

I am having a kids table with ages 7-14. All of the kids hang out at my house all the time and I know they'll have tons of fun together. The older kids can be on one side of the table and the 7 year olds can sit together. There are definitely some kids I am sitting with their parents. The ones at the kids table are kids I know can handle it. Other kids will still get activity books, etc.

As a mom, I'd like to have my kids with me at our table because otherwise, I'll be constantly looking at the kids table making sure they are still there and behaving.

That's my plan as well

Pros: The kids would have peers to talk to and perhaps be less bored.

Cons: You'd focusing all the potential mischief to one area. Kids might fight with each other or pick on each other.

We are having a kids table. Also, we hired someone who is going to watch the kids, play games, color, keep them excited so they won't get bored. I think a kids table is good so that the parents can enjoy the wedding.

I'm not a fan of kids tables for most of the reasons already stated. Up until a certain age children need to sit with their parents. If it's all teenage cousins that's one thing, I would have loved to go to a wedding and sit with my cousins without our parents around, but a large age range will make it awful for the older kids.
