Kids’ meals

What are you serving? Will they get a choice on the reply card of a plated meal like adults do? Or will they have their own buffet? Are you giving older kids the option of an adult meal?

We're doing a kids option, but letting the parents/kids decide if they want it. They'll be able to choose between chicken tenders or the adult meal of beef tenderloin or mahi mahi. There won't be many kids for us, personally, but the oldest will be 16, and I already know they won't eat the adult meals.

We only had five children at the wedding. Four of those children were in the wedding and the other child was six month old. The four children in the wedding ate the same food as the adults. Our venue didn't have a separate meal option since we did buffet style. The children's meals were cheaper than the adults though since they wouldn't be drinking alcohol.

We gave all children the option of the adult meal, regardless of age. My daughter was 6 at the time and she wanted the adult meal we were serving. The children’s meal was chicken tenders with choice of Mac and cheese or fries. There were about 12 kids in attendance from age 5 weeks-15.

We had chicken tenders and fries for the children at my wedding as well. Everyone had the option of the adult meal, but I don't recall any of the children having it.

As a mom, I want at least the option of the main part of the adult meal. Schools, friends' families, and any special event serve mac and cheese, nuggets and small burgers as the default meal. Either a mini buffet, or at least one adult choice. I thought my kids would jump up and down and cheer the last many- kids wedding where with parent's permission the kids could choose peanut butter and jelly or bologna and cheese or cream cheese and jelly sandwiches.

We have 5 small children attending and none of them want the crab cake or filet mignon plated dinner option, so the venue suggested mac n cheese, chicken tenders, and a fruit cup. All of the parents of the children said this was perfect!

Kids just ate off the regular buffet. There was chicken, beef, veggies, potatoes, mac and cheese, etc so plenty of things for people to choose from.
