Kids gifts

XamanthaRose, on June 7, 2018 at 10:41 PM Posted in Planning 0 15
I have about a million kids in my wedding and I'm clueless on what to get them.

We have a 14yo boy, two 13yo girls, an 12 yo boy, an 8yo girl, and two 7yo girls.

I think really cute bathbombs with a surprise in them would be cute for all the girls, maybe even matching cute sunglasses, braclets, glitz up water bottle, lip glosses, makeup brushes, etc...for boys maybe some kind of gift card to electronic store, toy store, comic book store, etc.

Are those children guests or members of the wedding party? I would encourage you to gift them whatever favors you gift the rest of your guests if they are part of that number. As part of the wedding party, you may consider gifts that reflect their interests. A lot of new games have come out for video gaming systems. Art tools or music accessories make fun and useful encouragement to hone skills. Tickets for theme parks, escape rooms, or local attractions have always seemed to be well recieved by individuals in that age range. I don't imagine the gifts would necessarily have to do directly with the wedding, especially for young people. Happy planning!

They're in the wedding. I'm getting my bridesmaids wine glasses and pajamas so not really child appropriate. I want to get them something they can keep. And kids grow too fast for clothes.

That's an idea, I got a bracelet when I was a flower girl though and it doesn't fit anymore. I wish there was a way to make it grow with them 😒

Are they your kids or someone else's? If they are someone else's, I would ask their parents about their interests. Trying to buy the same thing for all the girls and boys is an exercise in futility and not the most thoughtful gift.

I would spend my budget on one nice gift for each one rather than a bunch of smaller items.

None of the kids are mine. I've asked their parents but the interests are things I can't really buy

I was in the same dilemma and since I’ve already stopped calculating how far over I’ve gone on my budget...I needed to choose some inexpensive items....this is what I got....
    1. Survival camping kit on Amazon (14 yr. old boys)
    2. Stop watches (these 13 year olds boys are into sports).(from amazon)
    3. Sketch books with gel pens (from
    Ross)
    4. Flower girls and ring beaters-sun glasses, coloring books

I'm not sure if this helps or not, foe two of the boys in our wedding party, they prefer gifts that include game cards. So that is probably what we will get for them. The girls ill get jewelry most likely

Hey XamanthaRose! How's your planning coming along? Have you been able to decide on what gifts to give to the kids in your wedding party? I would love to know!

Going pretty good. For the two flower girls(7) I'm doing a bear with a tutu that matches theirs with the wedding date and their title. For the ring bearer who is an 11yo girl I am getting her a drawstring bag with her name and softball stuff. For my brother who is 14 I'm getting a tackle box and filling it up with fishing stuff. I haven't decided on the 13 yo girl and the 8 yo girl yet.

I love what you chose so far, those gifts are all adorable and it's so clear you put thought into making them personal each kid! My sisters and I were in a wedding when we were 12, 10, and 6 and the bride got us each a little wristlet/clutch purse with our monogram embroidered on it. I actually still use mine haha, although now as a makeup bag instead! Something like that might be cute for your other girls, and maybe put inside nail polish that matches your wedding colors or sunglasses/bath bombs/lip gloss like @Jaclyn mentioned above?

I'm getting my FG's and RB gifts that match my BM's and GM's, respectively. Most of what I am getting them is stereo-typically wedding-y though. Robes, tote bags, monogrammed tumblers and the like. Most of the typical bridesmaid gifts are only geared towards "girly-girls". As for the gifts typically gear towards men, they aren't always kid-friendly. We're giving our RB (and FH's 17 year old brother) a tumbler instead of a beer stein.

You definitely don't have to go with the "typical" BP gifts at all though. Are any of the kids into crafts? an arts and crafts kit could be good. Does someone love legos? a small lego set will be a hit (and could help entertain during the reception). you could get an itunes gift card for one of the teens, etc.
