Kids craft tables

Chelsea, on April 16, 2020 at 9:54 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8
Hi!
I have 20-30 kids coming to my wedding and was thinking about setting up a kids craft table to keep them busy. I want the kid size table and chairs but where can I get my hands on a bunch?

Hi Chelsea! I love this idea! Is there a church or preschool you could contact to borrow some? I don’t know if this is possible but do you have any teacher friends that could loan you some from their classroom? (But I don’t know if they’re allowed to remove them if it’s school properly.)

Eek! That is a very good question and i could ask around! Or to people that have kids if we could barrow them. I plan to put down brown paper so the kids won’t color on the tables but someone with kids has to have them haha.

I would definitely ask churches or pre-schools. The issue with the ones most people have in their homes is that they’ll hold 4 kids at most and if you need enough for 20-30 kids that’ll take up a lot of space.

A good rental company will have child-sized tables and chairs now, since kids tables at weddings became a “thing”.

And whoa.... that’s a lot of kiddos!! Will you have them in the same room as the rest of the reception and will there be a few people nearby specifically to monitor them? When I picture 30 kids sitting together unattended and doing crafts, it seems like it can get loud and out of hand very quickly. And if the parents are seated across the room, they’ll have to constantly get up and walk over during the reception to check on their children. Just something to think about.

Oh...OK I thought the table was where the kids were going to sit the entire evening. But it’s just somewhere for them to go as a release. Got it!
