We are not wanting kids at our reception except for the kids we have involved in our ceremony. What is the best way to request this when inviting people? I don’t want to make anyone mad by asking for no kids, but having 5 kids there because they were in our ceremony.

It's expected that the kids in the wedding will be at the reception, it's rare that kids in the wedding can't attend the reception and some parents of the kids in the wedding could be offended by you using the kids as props, I know if a friend asked if my kids could be in the wedding but they aren't allowed at the reception I'd tell them no. People will get offended when you allow these few guests to bring their children who aren't in the wedding while others are told they aren't allowed to bring their kids.
