KEY WEST Rehearsal dinner

Key West Bride, on July 4, 2011 at 8:24 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 1

Hello...

I'm looking into combining my rehearsal dinner and my welcome dinner for my Out of Town guests the night before the wedding. I wanted to do something different, yet fun and entertaining for all since it is a destination wedding. I was looking into a dinner dance cruise, but does this sound too unconvertional and would it work? Unfortunately I do not want to pay extra for a private charter or boat, so the cruise boat and the dinner area will accessed to the public (seating is limited and they have 4 and 6 top tables). I know toasts and welcome greetings are normally shared during rehearsals but this may have to be left out completely, which I am fine with as long as everyone has a great time and we can thank them one on one.

So I wanted to get some feedback and also any other venues you recommend for rehearsal dinners either on land or on seaSmiley smile

Thank you!!

I myself got married in Key West. What about doing something informal but very "Key West" style like Conch Republic or Turtle Krawls. Since it is going to also be your welcome dinner, I would think it might be fun to do something in the theme of the destination.

Also, if you wanted to try something fun, the also have the sunset cruises that include just alcohol. They aren't overly expensive, you get beer and wine included and the most gorgeous sunset. They are on a small boat, not a large ferry or yacht.
