Key West Honeymoon?

Mollie, on February 23, 2020 at 6:22 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 4
We’re getting married in July, 2 months after the birth of our baby so we’re planning only a small honeymoon this year. Any thoughts on Key West!? Are there any all exclusive resorts. Do any resorts include food and drink? What’s some of the things we shouldn’t pass up doing!?

Key west is popular but pricey for hotels in my opinion. I could be wrong but do not think there are resorts there. It is the most southern tip for Florida towards Cuba and there is a large monument you can take a picture with. A lot of people go there and I would if it were not an 8 hour drive lol. A good place to visit and chill. Went for a day while on a cruise.

Everything is all exclusive 😂 if you mean all inclusive, no I’m not aware of any (I’m not a travel
Agent but I live in south Florida and have been to key west many many times).

I would look into air bnb and just set a travel budget for food-there are grocery stores on the north side of the island further away fromDuval street (where all the bars and entertainment are). That’s a must do.
My other must dos:Butterfly gardenBetter than sex dessert restaurant Camilles restaurant for brunchFort Zachary Taylor park

Obvious touristy places are the southernmost point, 0 mile marker, and Mallory square.

I love key west and am trying to get my FH open to our honeymoon in Key West...it can be pricey..my mom lived there over 10 years and I lived there for like a year...its a place I would look at, at different times of year...end of October can be pricey bc of Octoberfest but end of hurricane season can be on the cheaper side. I also usually fly into Fort Lauderdale and drive down bc that sometimes can be cheaper but again you can always check different times of year. I was looking into the hotel h20 bc it looks beautiful and its close to old town..
Pretty pricey but looks so beautiful and you can get a suite with a private pool...there's also sooo many different hotels and bed and breakfasts to look into! There's sunset cruises, a boat ride to the dry tortugas, Mallory Square or just biking around town and going on the bar crawl at night.

    KW is great.

If you have an extra day, fly into Miami and drive down. It's a great leisurely drive, as long as morons don't mess it up. It's an hour drive that can take 4-5 with one accident. Otherwise fly in, or fly into one of the cities in Florida that has a ferry to the island.

The place across from the Hemingway House has the best Key Lime Pie on the island. 8 ball pool Smiley ring Smiley flower
