Keeping satin dress from wrinkling

Anonymous, on February 16, 2013 at 9:19 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5

I have a question for all brides out there who have seen or had a satin dress at their wedding. I purchased a Casablanca #1994 for my wedding. When I tried on the sample because it was way too big it was pooling at the bottom and the satin had so many wrinkles. I am just worried that on the day of even though the dress will be steamed that it will end up being wrinked half way through the day. I just wanted to hear from brides who have had a satin dress...does it stay nicely pressed throughout the day? It is a fit and flare style. Thanks

If possible, get dressed at your ceremony venue.

This is one reason I stayed away from satin. I've never seen it not wrinkle up after a while. Plus, satin doesn't bode well for a summer wedding like mine! haha

Maybe steam the bottom really quickly after the ceremony for a touch up?
