    Trashing it!

My husband’s friends got married the month around when we did but due to changes in immigration law none of us could travel to see one another.

When we were able (almost 14 months later) we all met at the beach. The brides brought their gowns and we ran into the ocean with them. Afterwards my dress was ruined so I threw it in the giant bonfire we had!

I am thinking about donating mine to plus sized brides who may not be fortunate to buy a dress.

I may have mine dry cleaned and resell it to a consignment boutique.

How much do you think you will get? Half? 1/3? Has your dress been altered?

Not altered yet- but really something is better than nothing.

I'm keeping mine! I'm really happy my mom kept hers and her mothers, and my FMIL kept hers! I was able to use pieces of the lace from each in my wedding attire so it was really special!

I didn't think about this at all before my wedding day. I ended up taking it to be preserved at a place recommended by my bridal salon.

I kept mine because it was super cheap aha so selling it wouldn't have made it much worth it. I did think about donating it though to one of those drives for prom dresses. Because I bought an evening gown so it could work for that.

We’re getting married on the beach and having a trash the dress photo session the following morning with the bridal party. So excited for those photos!

That is very sentimental. I love the idea of having a piece of your family with you.

I'm having mixed feeling about whether I will keep it or sell it. I also thinking if I keep my ceremony dress, I may sell my reception dress.

Totally understandable. My dress was purchased on sale and I have decided whether to sell or not.

I'm keeping it and will probably have it dismantled to make baby baptism gowns for our baby!

I sold mine. Unfortunately, NotFroofy's proved impossible to sell. For one thing, we didn't know the style number, which made it hard to advertise to those who might have been looking for it. For another, she is only 5'1", so it had had to be shortened a lot.
