Just some thoughts

I’ve never been Married before and it seems like a lot... I feel clueless to the little things, the small things.... Where does the men and his groomsmen suppose to get dressed at? Are they supposed to get dressed together or separate at the Venue or Hotel???😩😩😩😩😩😩😩

My husband and his groomsmen just got ready by themselves separately but I’ve seen a lot of people get ready I’ll together and they either rent a hotel room or there’s a separate suite they could get ready in at the venue

My fiance and his groomsmen are getting ready in a separate room at our venue. We're doing a first look though, so he and I don't want to see each other that day until the first look. If you're OK with seeing each other before the ceremony, getting ready in the same room is totally fine! Otherwise, I'd recommend a second hotel room or separate locations from the girls for the guys to get ready.

They can get ready wherever they want to and however works best for you guys. Our venue had an area for the guys. I'm not 100% sure, but I think they all came to the venue fully dressed. We had getting ready photos but those are mostly staged anyway.

My FH and his groomsmen will be getting ready at the hotel, which is literally across the street from our venue. Most usually get ready together either in a hotel or venue then head to the venue.

I'm still feeling lost as I've never dealt with wedding details before lol

My tribe & I are doing hair & makeup @ my parent’s house but putting on our dresses at the venue (so photographer can get pics). I’m not sure if he’s going to do the same. There are separate rooms for us to get dressed at our venue. My fiancé and I live 2.5 hours away so we’re gonna book a hotel a few days prior to the wedding. We usually stay at his parents when we’re in town but family will be there for the wedding. I’m thinking that hotel is going to be our sanctuary with all the craziness going on! Our wedding is on a Saturday & we’re gonna have our rehearsal dinner the Thursday before. I wanted that Friday to get nails, pedi & last minute things done. I’m staying with my parents the night before since the makeup artist will be there early. Good luck with the planning!

Us ladies are getting ready at the venue and all the guys, including the fathers and junior usher will be getting ready at a hotel suite. Our photographer has offered to go to the hotel first to take getting ready photos of the guys. We are in a small town so there’s not much distance or traffic between the two.

There are several options which include your house or a relative’s house if the wedding is close by, a hotel, Airbnb, or even the venue if there is a space for them to change. For instance, my brother got married at a church so the groomsmen and groom got ready in one room in the basement of the church and the bride and bridesmaids got ready in a different room in the basement. For our wedding, my husband, the groomsmen, my dad, my brother (bride's man), and my husband’s other friend (not in the wedding, but shared a room with the best man) got ready in the best man’s hotel room. I will say it was very crowded because there were eight guys getting ready plus the photographer. If your fiancé will be getting with a bunch of people I would recommend making sure the place he picks to get ready at is large enough that they won’t be crammed. Myself, my mom, grandmother, bridesmaids, flower girls, and groomswoman used the large bridal suite our venue had. It was two connected rooms with an attached bathroom and bar area so it was very spacious.

DH and his BP got ready at his parents' apartment, which was within limo-driving distance of the venue.

My side got ready at the venue.

It really depends on your venue, how close your home/hotel is to the venue, all of that kind of thing. Don't worry about that until you've got more planned out.

Check out the "Planning" tab at the top of the page. It has checklists, advice, and all kinds of things to help.

H and his guys came to the venue and used the groom's area at the venue. My brother and his groomsmen had a hotel room to get ready in at his wedding. It's whatever works for your situation.

Our venue has two spaces to get ready in so the girls and I will get ready in the bridal suite at our venue (which is a hobbit house) and the guys will get ready in the tree house on the other end. We're getting to our venue at 11:30 and our ceremony starts at 5:30 so everyone will just be hanging out before, have a couple drinks, my BIL is bringing his switch for the guys to play. Rather than show up, get ready, and have the wedding we've decided to make a day of it so that no one feels rushed and the whole day can just be fun
