I wanted to give an update to this post. I did read the negative reviews about Anomalie, and to be honest the majority of these were issues from the brides side of things, either not having enough time to allow for alterations before their wedding day, not being clear with their vision of their dress so therefore they were disappointed, or they didnt like having to spend so much time in the design process. So I didnt feel uncomfortable continuing with this company. Last week I was scheduled to have my measurements done and could have gone to any Taylor for this, but opted to instead travel to San Francisco to their office in person. I had a great experience there. I got their early so I had to wait for my design consultant to finish with her client before me, but as I was early this wasnt an issue for me. During that time I had several of their staff come up to me, introduce themselves and offer me refreshments or assistance, including the two founders of the company. Everyone is super nice and professional. I spent an hour with my designer and another girl who took the measurements, then we chose the materials including the lace and beading I wanted. Their selections for colors were limited, but I knew that from our first conversation when I first mentioned my dream design. I also saw several dresses that were made and were waiting for the last stage of the production, they all looked very well made and similar to what I saw from bridal stores. So I am not worried about the quality of the dress. I would recommend this company to anyone who wants to customize their dress. But it does take time on your end, so far I have exchanged at least 30 emails, 5 phone calls and one visit during the last 6 weeks. I also now have my design sketch, and can't wait to see the first mock up design before the actual dress is made. I also saw a wall filled with photos from brides who have has fheir dresses completed already which was pretty cool to see.
