I just got engaged this weekend! We just picked a date, 10-10-20. That seems to be the most popular day of the year! I don’t know where to start or what to do. Should I be concerned that the date is so popular? Should I be concerned that it’s less than 8 months away?

Congratulations!
I think the date is lovely... but a lot depends on the kind of wedding you want, where you want it, the size, etc etc etc.
As others have said, why that particular date? It can take a long time to find a dress, caterer, music and then some - and depending on where you are, it may already be too late. But if you're flexible and have back-ups (and more back-ups), then go for it!

First of all, congrats!! I think it is possible to arrange everything in time but you have to start right now!

It can be done. Just be aware that you might have to buy a wedding dress off the rack instead of ordering it. It depends though on what place you go to.

Welcome to the 10/10/2020 club! You'll have your work cut out for you, and you may have to compromise on some things. My fiance and I got engaged last January, and I picked that date because it's my late father's birthday. We booked our venue in May, and I bought my dress in July. But we lost out on our first choice DJ because we waited too long to set up appointments. I wish you lots of luck!
