Dedicated July 2020

Just a plea..

Please please please wear your mask! My first wedding was cancelled in April and we finally have been able to move forward with a small beach ceremony in July. That is now being threatened by the new cases popping up in several states and potential lockdowns/quarantines. I know you all feel me but please encourage your friends and family to wear a mask 😷 so that some can move forward with their (albeit altered) wedding plans!!!

Smiley sad it's kind of annoying when people refuse to wear one and they get so mad when a worker says you have to or can't shop/be a customer. it's like bruh, it is not that hard for you to go wear a mask for this short period of time -.-

Agreed! Like, it’s REALLY not that hard to just wear one. No one is taking away your freedom. You wear it to be considerate of other people! It really amazes that people don’t get it. And then they get mad when businesses enforce it...like have you never heard of “no shoes, no shirt, no service”? It’s literally the same thing as no mask, no service. LOL. And hopefully people will be responsible and respectful enough to wear them at weddings if they have to.

I help out at my parents shop on Saturdays and we’ve placed signs everywhere including a big sign that says masks are required, no mask no service, and that we have disposable ones for $1 to purchase.

We still have people coming in playing dumb like they didn’t see the signs with no mask, people arguing with us and disrespecting our policy by refusing to wear one, and people who demand we give the mask for free.....masks aren’t cheap anymore....it’s so frustrating.

Having to wear a mask for 30min while you’re in a store is really not a big deal when it means you can help make sure that your community survives

But apparently a LOT OF people, even in CA, are squishing into bars and restaurants without masks. Ugh.

Yeah, I volunteered at a polling place Tuesday in VA (sanitizing polling stations and "crowd control" for 30 ppl over 13 hours 😂). I had to remind/ politely ask maybe 5 people to put on a mask, offered disposable masks to a few more who "forgot", and i only had 1 person who refused to properly wear a mask.
We had a special booth set up for those people in the corner to put them far away from the polling workers! 😁 LOL
In my head I was kind of saying "maybe these are the people who shouldn't be in the voting pool" - not really the most helpful community member. I kept on a mask for probably 10 hours that day, other than drinking water, snacks and walking outside. It's hot, not going to lie, but it was still okay talking and sitting.

I had pneumonia 5 years ago, that left an impressive scar in my lungs. I am forever at risk for pneumonia, pleurisy, and complications from anything respiratory.

If people wore masks, I would be less terrified to go outside.

Where I live, they are mandatory in businesses and where it is impossible to socially distance, though I wish it were more. Most people do wear masks, but I still see enough people without them to freak me out. Bonus if they are the people who run/bike/stand close to you. I know that I'm in a city, but we've shut down enough streets that you don't have to be that close to people.
