They both sound the perfect age for junior bridesmaids.

I think they're good ages, I was going to say 12-16.

I think 17 is a little old to be a JB.... my cousin will be 15 and I made her a bridesmaid.

My junior bridesmaid will be 9. We have two flower girls who will be 4 and 6 and she didn't want to match them so we just made her a junior bridesmaid.

I think whatever you want is fine. The last wedding we went to had older junior bridesmaids.

I think that’s perfectly fine. My junior bridesmaids were 15 and 17 when we got married. They were sisters so it just felt right to give them the same title.

At that age, I think I would have been annoyed with the "junior" title. I have a 17-year-old in my bridal party. I'm calling her a bridesmaid, as she is acting as an adult, capable of making her own plans with me and contributing ideas for the wedding, and it seems more respectful. But I supposed she really is a junior bridesmaid, as she's not doing all the extras the adult bridesmaids are doing, like the bachelorette party, and her parents are paying her expenses. I just see no reason to differentiate by age.

My Junior bridesmaids are 12 and 14. I think Junior bridesmaids should be between 11-16. In your case for the 17 year old, I'd say have her be a junior bridesmaid if you are about 10 or more years older than her, and a regular bridesmaid if you are less than 10 years older. This way she won't feel inferior. I know when I was 17, I would have been annoyed to be a Junior bridesmaid for someone who's lets say, 24 years old, because I didn't feeeeeel like I was all that much younger than people who were that age.

I think this makes sense. Just use your best judgement with this particular person.

Thanks everyone!!! I will be 30 when I get married so there is a gap in age. I already have 9 bridesmaids so I think it’s easy to have them be junior. They also won’t be involved in all the extras also.
