June Brides! When to send invites?

I am hoping to get mine out early next week! I want to give people extra time to get a hotel room because we have a lot of OOT guests.

End of April 2016 with RSVP date of May 16, 2016.

I sent mine out on February 9, exactly 2 months out. Sending out invitations made it all seem more real to me.

Many of married family and friends--and the vets on these boards--warn not to send invites out too early because it increases the chance that guests will put it aside, thinking they have plenty of time and you will end up chasing down a lot of people when the deadline hits. Also, many people may not know their schedule too far in advance.

I am sending our invites out 10 weeks before the wedding for OOT guests (mostly FH's side) and 8 weeks before the wedding for local guests (mostly my side).

Sad day. so one of our friends started dating someone right after i sent the final list to the printers. he texted FH today asking if he could bring the new girl. we told him we're at max capacity but we'll let him know. =/

We sent ours out on Saturday and our RSVP date is May 1st.
