I took the advice of some others on this thread and asked our venue for a backup date if August doesn’t work out. It feels like a huge relief and I highly recommend doing the same! Our venue is only open May-October, and they already only had two Saturdays in 2021 available as of yesterday (how we got a summer Saturday for this year booking last November I have no idea).
My fiancé and I are August 23rd, and every time I think of it whether it could potentially be canceled or not I have no doubts in my heart that it will go on. I think that's God's way of saying this too shall pass.
Now for my June Bachelorette party I have a feeling it won't happen. But I would trade a bachelorette party and bridal shower not going though for my wedding to go through any day!
Thanks for the note. I think my (surprise - but I found out about it, hehe) bridal shower will be cancelled, or at least held virtually. It is supposed to be on April 25. An acquaintance of mine was supposed to get married May 15, and her bridal shower turned into a virtual one, which was this past weekend. It looked like a super neat idea.
I have no idea when my BMs are planning my bachelorette party. I'm assuming beginning of August, because we (are supposed to) have a lot of weddings to go to in July, and my one BM is (supposed to) be going to Vegas the week before my wedding. So I'm hoping this will pass, and bachelorette won't be cancelled.
I've been wanting to contact my events coordinator at the venue to see what my options are, but I can imagine she's super busy trying to coordinate the March-May brides, plus the venue's other events, so I don't want to bother her at this time. We are supposed to have our details appointment in May, so I'll see how things are in the next couple of weeks.
I don't know exactly why I typed out this whole thing to you. I guess I just needed to lay out all the details again to assure myself it will be ok!
My wedding day is August 1st 2020. I hope all these clams down by then. So I can go back to work. My job laid me off until we get back up and going again. I had some many thoughts of postponing it and changing where we get married. My heart set on Auguste 1st 2020. Trying to stay positive and have good vibe.

Mandy & Margaret, We are wedding date triplets! Also stopping any additional payments and deposits, but still trying to plan in a way that will have things in place by August. I have a good feeling that things will work out by then, even if the guest list is smaller! The uncertainty is tough, but nothing is impossible with God! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 Prayers for all of us 2020 Brides-To-Be 💗
Thank you for your positve post, I really needed it!! ❤ My wedding is June 20th and I'm bouncing back and forth between extreme panic and "everything will be fine". I'm praying everything will be normal enough by then to move forward, but I'm getting very little sleep and excessive heartburn stressing about it all. I think we could all use some reassurance and prayer.
I am getting married in August and I'm in NYC. I'm trying to have faith as well that this will die down a little by may or june when it starts to get hot.

Yes! My fellow August brides to be. Keep the hope alive. I really do wish none of us have to put anything on hold. I don't think I was ever getting a bachelorette party so I wasn't worried about that much. I hope everyone can still have theirs they seem like so much fun!!! 💗💗💗 sending my love
Keep the faith and leave and keep praying I'm in August and don't get me wrong some days my sister whose my matron of honor stresses me out telling me what if,I tell her there are no what if's we are getting married in August 👍🙏 keep your head up ladies
Yes, we all need a little prayer and positive outlook. I've been experiencing the same thing, and I feel like i'm at a stand still. I have contacted my venue, and vendors on possible postponement or cancellation of it all, and they reassured me that their business is still open, and accepting customers, and with limitations in the restaurant area, but seems like a go on this end. Keep ya head up, like our friend says " This too shall pass, and have Faith, so that's what I'm going to focus on. Take care
June 7th here. I have faith but numbers don’t lie and 200 people died in the US today. We are starting to get results like Italy and China. I believe in our Lord and Savior but the devil is testing us right now every single day! The unknown is killing me! Hold on my Sistas hold on!! A change is coming!

Our date is also July 11th and people think I’m kidding but if our day doesn’t end up being able to happen we will drive to the closest 7-Eleven and get married in the parking lot! We are getting married that day no matter what!!!

Erin, we are date twins! We feel the same way. We are not postponing or canceling. Backyard wedding via Skype it is if it gets cancelled 💁🏻♀️ We already bumped up our date from September for my sick FIL.
