We have decided to reschedule our July 11,2020 wedding to next July. Very sad day! 😢 But with the number of out of town, international family & friends, plus elderly family members. We figured it would be best. Will give everyone including ourselves peace of mind and can truly enjoy our wedding with everyone there in attendance and comfortable embracing one another! Good luck to everyone. It wasn’t an easy call, but most vendors have been willing to work with us so far!

We are in August as well and feeling the stress!

Thank you for this post, Trese. Our wedding date is June 5th and I’m trying really hard to not stress too much but it definitely has been stressful. So much is up in the air. Trying to keep the faith that everything will work out, though. 🙏🏾💗

Ours is 8/15/2020, and we are in the same boat as you! And it isn't just the wedding...we have to worry about the shower and bachelorette parties as well not being able to happen. I have been a bit down myself.

I have put all planning on hold for now...Afraid to put any more money into the wedding at this point...

Mine is June 20th, I'm stressing but have a strong gut feeling of peacefulness and this emotion that everything will be okay.
My granddad has poor health and fighting cancer and has numerous of surgeries. So I worry about him.
My grandma gets sick easily and zi worry about her.My MIL is on oxygen and has COPD so I worry about her.Then my fiance's grandparents and some family from his side also get sick easily and they get really sick. Plus half of my fiance's family is from out of state. Then I also have family out of state that I have no idea what is going to happen. But whenever I start to stress that peaceful feeling starts coming around and I calm down.

Our date is 6/13/20 and we are waiting until May to make a decision. We should know more by that time, and with our venue being a historical site for the County, we are at the mercy of the County. We have discussed moving it but will do that mid-May if we are still at the social distancing phase or full lockdown. We can't even get the license at this point because the Courthouse's in Florida have pretty much closed everything-and that is one of the areas.

Great to stay positive! I am just worried about our guests worrying about being safe when this madness finally ends. I can’t see people acting like how they are now and suddenly jumping into a wedding environment with over 200 people. Or how travel will look. There will be a transitional period for sure.


Not to mention how economically this could impact brides and vendors counting on the money and needing to pay for it.
